How to Avoid Hiring a "Pig in a Poke": Transforming the Junior Analyst Recruitment Process

Hiring a junior analyst is a gamble. The CVs are sparse, the interviews are rehearsed, and the results are only visible after three months. We made mistakes in 39% of cases.

In this talk, I'll share how my team and I redesigned the process: we replaced the traditional recruitment process with an internship pipeline, freed up 50% of the experts' time previously spent on interviews and onboarding, and were able to train junior analysts in two weeks, reducing hiring errors by a factor of five.

This talk is for managers, team leads, and anyone tired of buying "a pig in a poke".
