Panel Discussion: Survivors After AI
AI tools are rapidly changing roles within product teams: developers are getting copilots that write code from specifications, while analysts are getting assistants capable of generating requirements, diagrams, and even some of the code. The idea of a self-engineering team is emerging—a team in which the boundary between "who writes requirements" and "who writes code" is becoming blurred, with AI taking over some of the routine work.
But who gains more power and value in this new setup? A developer who can use AI to work out and refine requirements without involving an analyst? Or an analyst who can use AI to produce a prototype, specification, and test cases straight away, without waiting for a developer? At this panel, experts from analytics and development will come together to discuss how AI is reshaping roles, competencies, and spheres of influence within teams, and what the future holds for analysts as a profession in a world where code and requirements are generated in seconds.
